Our mixed cases offer a chance to taste both the award-winning wines we produce at our regenerative farm estate: our Brut and Rosé – both currently based on the brilliant 2020 vintage.
The mixed pair contains one 75cl bottle each of our Brut and Rosé, and includes a saving of £4.

Both wines give you a taste of the chalk slopes of our five-hectare regenerative vineyard in Hampshire.

More about our Brut NV
Our non-vintage Brut is our flagship wine. This bottling, based on the 2020 vintage, combines aromas of orchard fruit and creamy vanilla with floral and citrus tones. The palate is beautifully pure, with a rich mouth-feel and a mineral note reminiscent of our chalk soils. The extended time on lees – over 42 months – creates biscuity depth and a very fine mousse, all balanced by vibrant acidity. The finish is long and layered. Only 8,222 bottles were made.
More about our Rosé NV
Made in only very limited volumes, our non-vintage Rosé is a vivid, vibrant sparkling wine – one that often sells out. A soft, pale pink, this bottling (based on the 2020 vintage) combines a gentle creamy character with just-picked strawberries, sun-ripened plums and cherry blossom notes. Aromatic but driven and long, with our trademark minerality and mouthwatering acidity, it’s a beautiful, food-friendly wine. Only 1,860 bottles were produced.
More about the 2020 vintage
The 2020 vintage – forever remembered for the pandemic – proved challenging in many ways but made some spectacular wines. The season started with beautiful weather in March and April, but frost threatened the crop in late April and mid-May, by around 40%. Warm weather in August and September, however, allowed the fruit to ripen perfectly. The grapes at Candover Brook were picked during the 1st fortnight of October (always 3-4 days only and not too far apart). In 2020 we started on the 7th of October, which is fairly standard, before October’s heavy rain.

The palate is beautifully taut and strait-laced with a fine, lively, sprightly mousse. Lemony concentration is front and center, backed by a gentle sense of yeasty chalk with quite some depth. Candover Brook Rosé is a dangerous liquid. One opens a bottle, pours a glass...thoroughly enjoy it, pour another...and the sun is not very far over the yard-arm when the bottle is nearly empty! (I speak from recent, glorious experience.) You will never be disappointed - and will in all likelihood need to order another case -- and soon! (PS: the Brut is just as 'bad'...)

Our forebears formerly tenanted part of the estate now dedicated to vine growing at Preston Candover three generations ago, and being rather fond of English sparkling wines ourselves, we were thrilled to find that following recent ‘extensive research’ and back-to-back blind tastings of fifteen fizzes from no less than five countries, Candover Brook Brut NV stands HEAD and SHOULDERS above as our absolute favourite sparkling wine, beating sparkling wines costing up to three times the price, so much so we have just ordered our Christmas case.
